PURPOSE: A plate for molding an alignment layer of an LCD device and a method for aligning a liquid crystal using the same are provided to form an alignment layer on a substrate for LCD device without performing a rubbing process. CONSTITUTION: A convex portion(10) and a concave portion(12) are formed periodically on an upper face of a plate(14) for molding an alignment layer. One side of the convex and the concave portions(10,12) corresponding to an alignment angle of a liquid crystal is projected as much as 20 or more micro meters. The plate(14) for molding the alignment layer is adhered to a print roller in order to form the alignment layer on a substrate. The alignment material is supplied by meshing the print roller with an alignment material supply roller. The print roller supplies the alignment material into the concave portion(12). |
