Molding composition comprises a polyarylene ether sulfone and a polyamide having 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidine terminal groups. Molding composition comprises a polyarylene ether sulfone, a polyamide having terminal groups derived from a piperidine compound of formula (I), and optionally a filler, an impact-modifying rubber and additives. R = an amide-forming group R7 or a functional group bearing 1-4 R7 groups; R1 = H, 1-20C alkyl, cycloalkyl, benzyl or OR6; R6 = H, 1-20C alkyl, cycloalkyl or benzyl; R2-5 = 1-10C alkyl; R7 = NHR9 or optionally derivatized COOH; R9 = H, 1-8C alkyl, 3-10C cycloalkyl or 2-20C alkenyl. An Independent claim is also included for a process for producing the composition, comprising preparing a mixture of the polyamide and a copper halide, mixing this with the other components, and processing the mixture.
