MEMORY PROTECTION DEVICE OF SMART MEDIA AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A memory protection device of a smart media and a control method thereof are provided to efficiently process a memory protection of a smart media equipped with various sorts of memory devices using a hardware/software memory protection block. CONSTITUTION: A memory attribute register(12b) stores access control information for mutual access between various sorts of memory devices. A control unit(14b) receives a selection signal for selecting one among memory devices and a control signal from a CPU in case that the CPU is fetched. In addition, the control unit(14b) receives access control information of the memory device selected from the memory attribute register(12b) and generates an output signal for cutting off the protection of the memory device.
