PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to simplify a structure of a drive portion by reducing the number of gate drive IC and the number of data drive IC. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(111) is formed by combining an upper substrate(113) with a lower substrate(114) including a gate line(135a) and a data line(135b). A gate drive MUX circuit(115a) and a data drive MUX circuit(115b) are formed to a vertical direction of the liquid crystal panel(111). A single printed circuit board(117) is formed at one side of the liquid crystal panel(111). A tape carrier package(119) is connected between the single printed circuit board(117) and the liquid crystal panel(111). A control circuit(121) controls a gate drive circuit and a data drive circuit. The MUX circuits(115a,115b) are connected with the gate line(135a) and the data line(135b) in order to transfer a multitude of input signal by using one output line. A MUX control circuit(122) controls the MUX circuits(115a,115b).
