A lathe tool comprises a holder 10, Fig. 1, having an arcuate rebate, and a flange 16, Fig. 2 (not shown), a tapered bore 15 in the flange for receiving the part (18) of a cutting tip, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). The tip is frictionally held in bore 15 and can be removed therefrom by inserting a tool into a bore (17) in the holder, Fig. 1, to thus engage the end of the tip. The tip of Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown) may replace the tip of Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). |
