A portable power tool, such as an orbital pad sander, comprises a housing 12, a main handle 16 and a boss 20 having an inclined surface for mounting an auxiliary handle 24 in any one of a number of positions. When sanding in close quarters, the auxiliary handle may be released by a central screw 30, Fig. 2, and pivoted to any position in which semispherical projections 38 engage corresponding depressions 36 in the boss; two alternative positions are indicated by chain-dotted lines in Fig. 1. |
