It consists of a basin-like member 2a with inwardly facing bumps 5 around its edge and a loose ball which strikes these bumps and causes the basin to sound as the device rotates. The ball is retained in position by a disc 4 attached to a hub 4a which passes through a central hole in the basin and which incorporates a groove 8 in which the basin is located. A central depression 6 is provided in the basin to throw the ball to the periphery of the basin and thus enable it to be used in other than a vertical position. In the embodiment shown, the retaining disc is made sufficiently large to serve as the wheel of a toy. |
