<p>A gear box for driving a twin screw extruder has a first drive shaft (5), esp. driven through reduction gearing, which drives a second drive shaft (6) through two intermediate shafts (7,8) arranged on both sides. The shafts have parallel axes and are housed in a common gear box housing (1). The gear box housing (1) is split into two halves (3,4) along a vertical dividing plane (2) which runs between the centre lines of the two drive shafts (5,6).</p> |
