PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such trouble that in an elevator in which the repair by a worker of a control board is impossible without riding on the ceiling of a cage in the uppermost floor when the cage is raised, the worker on the ceiling is in danger of striking against an instrument installed direct over the cage in the upper part of a hoistway. SOLUTION: 1. The cage is raised with a first manual operating fixture to a range where the cage does not strike against the instrument, and when exceeding this range, a second manual operating fixture is needed to necessarily call the worker's attention. 2. The manual operating fixture is fixed to the position capable of working only in a stooped posture to prevent the worker for operation from striking against the instrument. 3. A sensor for detecting the presence of the worker on the ceiling of the cage within the range where the instrument installed in the upper part of the hoistway is not overlapped with the plane of projection is installed. |
