PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a heat mode type lithographic printing plate capable of platemaking without developing after scanning and exposing in a short time and having excellent plate wear resistance and small scumming on a printed surface. SOLUTION: The original plate for lithographic printing comprises colored hyperfine particles of a composite metal oxide of at least one of group 6A, 7A or 8 elements of the Periodic Table as a constituting element as a photothermal conversion agent. Particularly, the original plate comprises a hydrophilic image recording layer containing the colored hyperfine particles and a surface hydrophilic hydrophobicity prepared precursor on a support.
