A laminate comprising two or more layers 72, 73 of heat sealable thermoplastic material with or without foamed layers 74, 75 is moulded and reinforced by including between the layers pieces 59, 60 of parting material which overlap in a central area, and include a strip 61 of thermoplastic material between them, the layers then being blow-moulded between mould plates 70, 71, by means of an inserted tube 68 whereby the strip 61 adheres at opposite edges to the upper and lower layers respectively but does not adhere where the parting layers overlap, and takes the form shown. The thermoplastic material usable includes acrylonitrilebutadiene-styrene copolymers. The parting material used may be paper, a silicone, or, for the above copolymers, polythene. |
