PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an expanded polyolefin resin necessitating decreased installation cost, giving a crosslinked expanded product having excellent uniformity, enabling easy adjustment of the expansion ratio and giving an expanded product having excellent recyclability. SOLUTION: An expanded sheet having excellent appearance is produced by supplying 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin such as polypropylene, 0.5 pt.wt. of a dioxime compound (preferably p-quinone dioxime) and a heat-decomposable chemical foaming agent (preferably azodicarbonamide) to a screw extruder, melting and kneading at 170-165 deg.C and heating the obtained expandable resin composition at 180-220 deg.C (e.g. 210 deg.C) to perform the crosslinking reaction and the expansion of the polyolefin resin in one step.
