PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the cold air volume in an air conditioner for a vehicle having a face blow-off opening part and a bypass passage in parallel. SOLUTION: A hot water flow rate adjusting system adjusts the blow-off air temperature by adjusting the flow rate of hot water circulating in a heating heat exchanger 25 by a hot water valve 27. When the lowest temperature state is set, the hot water valve 27 is fully closed. Since the hot water valve 27 is fully closed when the lowest temperature is set, cold air can be allowed to flow by making use of an air passage on the heating heat exchanger 25 side. Accordingly, when the lowest temperature state is set, the wind volume can be increased by the volume of cold air passing through the heating heat exchanger 25 in comparison with a conventional device for fully closing the air passage on the heating heat exchanger by an air mix door.
