PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug or functional foods capable of performing the prevention, improvement and therapy against the diseases associated with hypertension and diabetes without caring the side effects or the like. SOLUTION: The drug or functional foods are characterized by containing flavonoid for control at least one of the elevation of blood pressure or blood sugar either. Preferably, the flavonoid is particularly selected from a group consisting of compounds extracted easily from citrus fruits; 5-demethylnobiletin, tangeritin, nobiletin, 8-demethoxynobiletin (sinesetin), 6-demethoxytangeritin and 6-demethoxynobiletin.
