<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club which makes regulation of the spin characteristics of a ball regulatable and is consequently easily usable for various types of golfers. SOLUTION: The golf club, which has a face plate 2 having a clubface for hitting the ball, a shell 3 disposed with the face plate 2 at its front and a head forming a hollow section in the inside thereof, is provided with a reinforcing plate 5 in a position apart from the face plate 2 within a hollow part 4 along the specific area of the face plate 2. The distance formed by this reinforcing plate 5 and the face plate 2 is set at a distance at which the face plate deformed by the impact of the ball abuts on the reinforcing plate. The reinforcing plate 5 is otherwise disposed in the position apart from the face plate 2 within the hollow part 4 along the face plate 2 and the distance formed by the reinforcing plate 5 and the face plate 2 is made successively longer from the specific area of the face plate 2 toward the other area and is set at the distance at which the face plate deformed by the hitting of the ball can abut on the reinforcing plate 5 in the shortest segment.</p> |
