摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain quantitative information on the degree of deviation of shapes of the particular tissue from normal accurately, automatically, and easily. SOLUTION: The ultrasound diagnostic equipment have a mechanism that computer-enhanced cross-sectional images are obtained by emitting ultrasound pulse to an examinee's body. This equipment is provided with following means: Means (13, 40, 36, 26) set up areas for analysis on a part of the cross-sectional images. Means (12, 21, 22, 23) pick up echo signals reflected at parts of the examinee's body after ultrasound pulses are emitted to parts of the examinee's body, which are the areas for analysis, according to the emitting conditions for quantitative analysis. Means (24,31-33) perform quantitative analysis on aspects of tissue depending on reflected echoes.
