PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure for a column and a beam with a capability to work easily, to show nice looking and to have enough strength. SOLUTION: This is a connecting structure in which a column and a beam are connected in a condition that an end face of a beam 2 is butted against a side face of a column 1. This structure is characterized by the following facts. Upper and lower edges of straps 4a and 4b protruding from a beam are provided in a double-folded state inside a groove 3 placed upward and downward on an edge face of the beam 2, and the strap 4a is fixed to the column 1, another strap 4b to the beam 2 respectively. The straps 4a and 4b are tightened together by a bolt 5b.
