SOLUTION: A method for controlling a printer comprises the steps of preliminarily supplying water to an ink on an ink roller group to operate an offset printer, and then controlling printing. The method further comprises the steps of selecting a dampening water supply method when the preliminarily supplied, and selecting a dampening water supply method when operated thereafter to control to start the operation.
