PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter with a balloon which is capable of improving the operability when the front end of the catheter with the balloon is inserted into the incised part of the blood vessel. SOLUTION: This catheter with the balloon has tubes to be inserted into the vessel and the balloon annexed to the front end of this tube. The balloon is fixed at its one end to the side of an inner tube and at the other end to the side of an outer tube. The tubes are the double pipe type tubes consisting of the inner tube and outer tube which are made slidable axially with each other and are concentrically inserted to each other. The inner diameter d1 of a pipe stop for expanding the balloon disposed at the front end of the tubes is within a range substantially having no level difference from an inner diameter d2 of the pipe for expanding the balloon at which the pipe is inserted into the tube and expands the balloon and reduces its diameter by abutting on the pipe stop expanding the balloon. |
