PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor scooter type vehicle with a housing box formed as a structure for making a unit swing type engine compact, improving a stroke quantity of a rear cushion unit, the seat height and housing box capacity and not staining a helmet in the housing box. SOLUTION: This motor scooter type vehicle is cushioned and suspended by the rear cushion unit 18 by rockably journalling the unit swing type engine 4 around a pivot 16a under a rear body 7. A muffler 25 connected to an exhaust passage 24 of the unit swing type engine 4 is arranged on the side of a rear wheel 2. A carburetor 26 of an engine intake air system is arranged in a lower part of a front half part of a seat 5. An air cleaner case 28 is arranged on the side of a cylinder 11 in front of a swing case 14. The depth of the housing box 8 is shallow on the vehicle front side. The rear side is deeply formed. The helmet 10 housed in the housing box 8 is housed by a box bottom wall and a rear wall above the pivot 16a. Clearance is formed in a housing box bottom wall rear end part between the part and the helmet 10. A fuel tank 9 is arranged above this clearance forming part. |
