PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic containing a specific organopolysiloxane, with utility and smooth make up membrane remaining overtime. SOLUTION: This cosmetic contains 0.01-50 quantity % of an organopolysiloxane represented by general formula (1): R1mR2nSiO(4-m-n)/2 [In the formula, R1 is a 1-20C substituted or unsubstited monovalent hydrocarbon group-OR3 (R3 is hydrogen atom or a 1-8C substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group); R2 is the same group as R1 or a group represented by formula (2) (x is one of 3-8 integral numbers, y is 3-5.), and at least one of R2 is a group represented by formula (2). Also m and n are positive numbers which meet 0<m<3, 0<n<3, 11.8<=m+n<=2.2].
