PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper based sliding material being excellent in non- seizure properties and fatigue resistance even though lead is not contained. SOLUTION: A copper based sliding material 14 is composed of a copper based sintered alloy which contains grains 17 harder than the copper or copper alloy by 0.1 to 5 vol.%. The hard grains 17 are uniformly dispersed in such a manner that, when square sections of 20μm per side are sampled at an optional place or plural places in the surface and/or cross-section of the copper series sintered alloy, the hard grains 17 are present by one or more pieces in >=80% of the plural sections. In this way, the material is excellent in non-seizure properties and fatigue resistance. |
