PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the protection after the absorption of impact energy at back crash. SOLUTION: The backward movement of a person sitting on a seat in accompany with the input of the excess shock at back crash is received by a pressure receiving body 26 of which the backward movement is controlled by a control means 32, and the backward movement of the pressure receiving body is permitted within a predetermined control range when the backward movement load inputted to the pressure receiving body exceeds the control load by the control means. An upper end of a seat back 12 supporting a head rest is forwardly moved by the amount corresponding to the backward movement of the pressure receiving body 26 against the buckling backward tilting of the whole seat back caused by the buckling deformation of a specific part, whereby the backward moving amount of the upper end of the seat back can be controlled at the buckling backward tilting of the seat back.
