PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic electrodeposition coating composition that can maintain good smoothness even if the amount of volatile low molecular weight components remaining in an electrodeposition coating film formed under the conventional baking conditions is reduced. SOLUTION: The cationic electrodeposition coating composition contains a blocked polyisocyanate curing agent obtained by reacting an alicyclic polyisocyanate with a mixture of a furfuryl alcohol with either ketoxime or lactam as a blocking agent.
