摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst having a high polymerization activity and capable of providing a polypropylene-based polymer suitable for molding methods such as a sheet, a blow or an injection molding method. SOLUTION: This catalyst for polymerizing an olefin is characterized as comprising a component (A) and a component (B). the component (A): a solid catalyst component prepared by bringing a component (A1) into contact with a component (A2) the component (A1): a solid component for polymerization consisting essentially of titanium, magnesium and a halogen and, as necessary, an electron donor and the component (A2): an organic compound represented by the following general formula 1 (R1 to R10 are each a substituent group having at least one element selected from carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, a halogen, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus, boron or silicon; and R7 and R8 and R9 and R10 together may form a ring) and the component (B): an organoaluminum compound component.
