PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a connecting pin for crane hooks for preventing a hook from falling off. SOLUTION: In the structure of a connecting pin for crane hooks which has an externally fitted member, internally fitted member fitted to the externally fitted member, hook mounted on the internally fitted member, hook pin connecting the internally fitted member to the externally fitted member so as to be turnable around the horizontal axis, key way provided near the tip of the hook pin protruded from the externally fitted member and key plate fitted to the key way and fixed to the externally fitted member for stopping the turning of the hook pin, a protection section, which is an externally fitted member wherein the tip section of the hook pin is protruded, is formed on the side opposing to the key plate over the hook pin for covering at least a part of the protruded part of the tip of the hook pin.
