PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pilfer-proof cap made of a synthetic resin capable of cutting a bridge without almost requiring the play of rotation of the cap. SOLUTION: In the pilfer-proof cap C made of the synthetic resin consisting of a cap main body 7 equipped with a top wall 8 and a skirt wall 9, the TE band 11 connected to the skirt wall 9 through a breakable bridge 12 and the locking member 14 provided to the TE band to be capable of being locked in the annular projection 4 of a container mouth part 2, the locking member 14 is constituted of a large number of locking pieces 6 elastically deformable in an outwardly expanding direction on the upper end sides thereof and independent in a peripheral direction and, at a time of opening, the locking pieces 6 get over the annular projection 4 and ratched pawls 5 and, in a closed state, the locking pieces 6 corresponding to the outer surfaces of the ratchet pawls 5 impart elastic recovery force to the ratchet pawls 5 and, at a time of opening, the locking pieces 6 are engaged with the ratchet pawls 5.
