PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope which is free from severing of a cut out part even though a foreign matter is inadvertently caught by a sealing flap after sealing is made, and is easily opened with the cut-out appropriately severed when the sealing flap is stripped off by a receiver and its sealing appropriately opened for easy taking out of enclosed matters without allowing chips of paper to be produced. SOLUTION: For the envelope in an one-side opened structure having a sealing flap 7 connected through a crease to one side of an enclosing port 5, a cut-out part 9 comprising a plurality of incisions 10 each being discontinuous in the breadthwise direction of the inclosing port 5 is provided at an overlapping part 8 on which the sealing flap 7 is folded down, and the end 11 of each of the incisions 10 is arranged so that each of straight lines 12 extending along the end 11 and intersecting at a right angle the breadthwise direction of the enclosing port 5 crosses over the incision 10 positioned next in the breadthwise direction, and a part between the cut-out part 9 and a side 13 at the enclosing port side is made to serve as a sticking face 14 on which the sealing flap 7 is stuck.
