PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer simple construction for filing nail ends in a sanitary and smooth manner without flying filings far away. SOLUTION: An automatic nail filer comprises a cylindrical body case 2, a driving direction changer 5 for changing the rotation of a driver 4 provided in the body case 2 into positive and reverse reciprocating rotation, and a socket 7 for a file 8 mounted on driving shafts 6, 22 of the driving direction changer 5, the file 8 being detachably connected to the socket 7.
