PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely bond a metal and ceramics by using an inorganic adhesive, wherein bonding of metal to metal, ceramics to ceramics, or metal to ceramics are firmly performed, a same material is used and between both bonding surfaces, and an ideal bonding adhesive or brazing filler is used, peeling caused by repetitive cooling and heating is effectively prevented. SOLUTION: This insert material for bonding a metal 1 and ceramics 2 is inserted in such a way that a ceramic rod 5 is fitted in a metal cylinder 4 firmly to connect the metal 1 to the ceramics 2. A first end face of the metal cylinder 4 is made as metal bonding face 6 to be bonded to the metal 1, the end face of the ceramics rod 5 is a second end face of the metal cylinder 4 opposite to the first end face is made as ceramics bonding face 7 to be bonded to ceramics 2.
