PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinyl ester that has sufficient flame retardancy and heat resistance and water resistance in addition to excellent flexibility. SOLUTION: The objective vinyl ester bears one or more oxazolidone rings per one molecule on the average. In another embodiment, the objective vinyl ester includes phosphorus atoms and additionally bears one or more oxazolidone rings per one molecule on the average.
