PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically useful method of preparing CF2 ClCFClCFRAFCF2OCF(CF3)COF(RAF is fluorine atom or the like). SOLUTION: CH2=CHCHRACH2OCH(CH3)CH2OH[compound (1)] is reacted with compound (2) such as FCOCF(CF3)OCF2CF2CF3 to form compound (3) such as CH2=CHCHRACH2OCH(CH3)CH2OCOCF(CF3)OCF2CF2CF3, successively reacted with a chlorinating agent to form compounds (4) such as CH2 ClCHClCHRACH2OCH(CH3)CH2OCOCF(CF3)OCF2CF2CF3 and then reacted with fluorine in a liquid phase wherein RA is a hydrogen atom or the like.
