PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both an adhesive composition scarcely receiving effects of migration of a plasticizer from a substrate and having a great cohesive strength, a great adhesive strength and a great tack, and a vinyl chloride resin adhesive tape using the composition. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition is characterized in that composition is characterized in that the composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component, (B) 50-150 pts.wt. of a petroleum resin mixture comprising 5-50 wt.% of a cyclopentadiene-based resin and 50-95 wt.% of an aliphatic petroleum resin and/or an aromatic petroleum resin and (C) 0-50 pts.wt. of a softener. The vinyl chloride resin adhesive tape is characterized by coating a flexible vinyl chloride resin film with the adhesive composition.
