PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which is excellent in the responsiveness of dilation and contraction in a balloon section. SOLUTION: This balloon catheter has the balloon section 4 which is dilatable and contractable by introducing and leading out liquid into and from the inside and a catheter tube 6 which is bonded with the proximal end of the balloon section 4 and is axially formed with a lumen communicating with the inside of the balloon section 4 and is characterized in that the thickness of a balloon membrane 22 constituting the balloon section 4 is greater on the proximal end side than the distal end side of the balloon section 4. |
