PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new GA 3β-hydroxylase gene derived from Oryzae sativa and its use, particularly for creating a plant having a modified weed type. SOLUTION: Genomic DNA encoding GA 3β-hydroxylase and cDNA were isolated from Oryzae sativa. Suppression of the expression of the gene in the rice plant resulted in the dwarfism compared with a wild type plant. |
