PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for a bathtub which is manufactured at a lower cost, is assured to be light in weight, and is excellent in terms of the safety. SOLUTION: A lid 1 for a bathtub is manufactured in a manner that multiple long, hollow materials 2 made of a hard synthetic resin are placed in parallel and that every hollow material 2 is joined to the adjacent material 2 to make one lid by a long connecting piece 3 made of a soft synthetic resin. Hollow materials 2A that have more excellent bending strength than the hollow materials 2B, that are used to make up the parts other than the middle parts of the lid, are used to form the middle part of length of the lid 1.
