PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which is excellent in the responsiveness of dilation and contraction in a balloon section. SOLUTION: This balloon catheter has the balloon section 4 which is dilatable and contractable by introducing and leading out liquid into and from the inside, a catheter tube 6 which is bonded with the proximal end of the balloon section 4 and is axially formed with a lumen communicating with the inside of the balloon section 4 and a coil member 30 which is arranged within the balloon section 4, extends toward the distal end from near the distal end aperture 6b of the lumen in the catheter tube 6 and has an axial flow passage 32 and spiral spacing 34. |
