<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of transmitting new characters and new game programs to a game apparatus by a simple method. SOLUTION: The game apparatus 10 accepts the pulses from a light detecting sensor 14 receiving the information sent as light signals on scanning lines in the prescribed partial region 17 of a display 16, restores data based on the pulses, and stores the restored data in a memory as part of the game program reproduced by the game apparatus 10. The data include at least one of new stages, new characters, new weapons and techniques, the physical strength, attacking force, defending force and/or points to be added of characters in a game, other programs and/or other programs including fortune-telling programs.</p> |
