PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating a molten salt capable of separating and removing heavy metals from the molten salt generated when melting incineration residue such as the incineration ash or fly ash discharged from a waste incineration furnace with a simple equipment and having high utilization efficiency of a reducing agent used in such a case. SOLUTION: The molten salt generated when melting a refuse incineration residue is charged into an electric surface 10 structured to enable to keep the molten salt in the melting state and granular aluminum is pneumatically transported with an inert gas or a reducing gas and blown into the molten salt bath.
