PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding method for forming a bound book of high quality by adapting a paper on which an image is formed by an image-forming device to POD. SOLUTION: In this bookbinding method, a book is bound by superposing a plurality of small magazines subjected to filing processing, truing up a back portion of the respective small magazines and applying a pasting processing near the back portion. An image-forming device used for the binding method comprises the following constitution. That is, the image-forming device has a paper post-processing device FS having a filing means 50 for filing-processing a center portion in a conveying direction of the paper discharged from an image- forming device body and a bending means 60 for bending the paper subjected to a center-filing processing by the filing means 50 to two portions; a paper cutting device B connected to the paper post-processing device and cutting a small opening of the small magazine subjected to the center-filing processing and the bending processing to two portions; and a pasting bookbinding device C for preparing a book by superposing a plurality of small magazines subjected to the cutting processing, truing up the back portion of the respective small magazines and applying the pasting processing near the back portion.
