PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily and efficiently store a ray material and a finished product in a comparatively narrow space and carry them in and out efficiently. SOLUTION: This member conveyance and storage device consists of a conveyance carrier 20 having a liftable support base 23, a conveyance pallet 30 put on the support base, and pallet support arms 10, 15 erected and formed on both sides of a conveyance passage 4 to load the conveyance pallet on a top face. The conveyance pallet has projecting parts 32 protruding from right and left end parts of a body part 31 and capable of loading a steel plate SP, etc., on its top face. The conveyance pallet 30 is put on the support base 23 to position the conveyance carrier 20 on the conveyance passage 4, and the conveyance pallet 30 is lifted and moved onto an upper side of upper support parts 11, 16 by a lifting device 22 at a position where the projecting parts 32 pass by avoiding the upper support parts 11, 16 forward and backward. The conveyance carrier is moved forward and backward to lower the lifting device, and the projecting parts 32 are loaded on the upper support parts 11, 16 to load the conveyance pallet across a pair of right and left pallet support arms.
