PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavation tool where a cutting blade piece has superior high-temperature joint strength. SOLUTION: In an excavation tool where a plurality of posts made of tungsten carbide group hard metal are stuck onto the tip surface of a bit body made of alloy steel, and a cutting blade piece made of sintered diamond is joined to each of the front side of the post, the cutting blade piece made of sintered diamond where an ultra-high-voltage high-temperature reaction generation metal carbide layer consisting of one of carbide of Ti, Zr, Ta, Nb, and Mo and at least two kinds of compound carbides of them is formed is directly jointed by heating pressure welding joint onto the joint surface of the post without using any brazing materials.
