PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat reclining device in which a seat back can be locked in an easily sitting position when raised from a forward inclined position. SOLUTION: A push plate 15 integrally rotatable with an arm plate 3 and a trigger plate 16 having a projection part 19 capable of abutting on a pin 20 protrusively provided on the arm plate 3 are rotatably supported with a hinge shaft 2. A lock lever 10 having a top contact surface 18 to abut on the push plate 15 is integrally connected to an operation lever 12. One end of a connecting plate 21 is rotatably supported on the trigger plate 16. A rocking lever 23 rotatably supporting the other end of the connecting plate 21 is rotatably energized and supported on a base plate 1 with a lock spring 27. A stopper 29 for arresting the rotation of the rocking lever 23 by the abutment with the projection part 28 of the rocking lever 23 is provided on the base plate 1. A stepped part 14 of the circular part 3a of the arm plate 3 is constituted so as to be capable of abutting on a pin 30 provided on the rocking lever 23.
