PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for removing a corner of a glass plate removing a corner part of the glass plate to one's desire without causing an error in positional relation of the glass plate and a grinding tool even if travel speed of the glass plate is changed. SOLUTION: This glass plate corner removing device 1 is provided with a moving means 7 moving the glass plate 2 in X direction parallel with its one fringe 6, an annular grinding tool 4 as a grinding tool grinding a corner part 3 on a one fringe 6 side of the glass plate 2, a moving means 8 moving the grinding tool 4 in Y direction crossing X direction at a right angle, an annular grinding tool 5 as a grinding tool grinding a corner part 3a on the other fringe 11 side extended in X direction opposing to one fringe 6 of the glass plate 2, a moving means 9 moving the grinding tool 5 in Y direction, and a control means 10 controlling the moving means 8 and 9 so that the grinding tools 4 and 5 are moved in Y direction by corresponding to moving of the glass plate 2 in X direction while moving the glass plate 2 in X direction.
