A hemodialysis system and method of operation includes supplying whole blood containing blood cells, plasma fluid and foreign substances to a process control preferably having a centrifuge which operates to separate the cells from the plasma fluid and foreign substances. The plasma fluid and foreign substances are then conveyed away from the centrifuge where the foreign substances are removed from the plasma to result in cleaned blood cells and cleaned plasma fluid which may be used in a patient. |
