PURPOSE: A method for controlling power-on 1-2 up-shifting on an uphill road is provided to prevent the generation of a shifting shock by suppressing the occurrence of run-up and to improve a shifting feeling and a traveling experience. CONSTITUTION: If a power-on 1-2 up-shift control signal is outputted, the travel of a vehicle on an uphill road is decided(S110,S120). If power-on 1-2 up-shifting occurs during a travel on the uphill road, a torque converter slip amount of the vehicle is outputted(S130). A correction duty is operated with a first speed release duty corresponding to power-on 1-2 up-shifting on a level ground stored in a memory. Thus, a first speed release duty on the uphill road is outputted(S140).
