A mounting arrangement for a sliding door or window allows both new and existing sliding doors or winds to be opened to the full width of the opening in which they are fitted. The arrangement includes a mounting frame which fits into the opening to which is hinged the non-sliding panel or the door or window. Parallel double tracks allow the sliding panel to move completely behind the non-sliding panel. A latch is provided to fix the two panels together. The tracks are divided into two sections one of which is anchored to the frame, the other being mounted on the non-sliding panel. The two panels can be pivoted on the hinges to fully open the door or window. |
