A plastic container for a liquid material containing a volatile organic substance having a DLC (diamond-like carbon) film formed on the inner surface thereof, characterized in that the DLC film has a specific composition, density and thickness, and the container exhibits flavor-barrier property for a fragrant or smelling organic substance and gas-barrier property for a volatile organic compound. Such barrier properties of the container are achieved by employing a DLC film having respectively appropriate composition, density and thickness. The container is suitable for filling a volatile organic substance such as an agricultural chemical, a cosmetic, a seasoning or an aromatic material. <IMAGE> |
