A locking stay as described in the parent Specification is provided with a circular catch plate (28 Fig. 1) which prevents rotation of the pawl when the arms (21, 22) are reversely rotated for a second or any successive number of times from the fully open to a partially closed position. The arms are thereby locked in the fully open position until the catch plate is rotated manually by a finger tag 45 when the pawl can rotate and become aligned with the slots (31, 32 Fig. 8). This arrangement prevents accidental closing of the stay.</p> |
