PURPOSE: An overcurrent protective circuit of a monitor is provided to detect an overcurrent to be applied to each part of the monitor using a photo diode. CONSTITUTION: A rectifying and smoothing section(10) rectifies and smoothens an input AC power to converts into a DC power. An SMPS driver(20) outputs a PWM drive signal according to an input PWM control signal to switch a power transistor(Q1). A rectifying diode(D1) and a smoothing capacitor(C1) are connected to an output terminal of the power transistor(Q1) and rectifies and smoothens an output power. A voltage stabilizing section(50) outputs a PWM control signal through a photo transistor(51). A photo diode(60) includes a diode connected between a smoothing capacitor(C1) and each circuit of a monitor and a resistor. One side of the resistor is connected to a ground and other side thereof is a voltage stabilizing section(50).
